Job Overview

We're on the lookout for a dedicated Mechanical Product Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Industrial IoT applications. As a part of our team, you'll be at the forefront of designing and developing innovative products that redefine the industry. From design optimization and prototyping to system integration and validation, you'll be involved in every phase of product development. Collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll contribute to the growth of our customer solutions and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

Join us in crafting remarkable products that are not only innovative but also reliable and easily manufacturable. Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities

  • Execute detailed product design activities, employing simulation analysis, CAD modelling, prototyping, validation, and documentation to deliver exceptional products.
  • Define and develop validation test requirements, ensuring their meticulous execution for new and existing products.
  • Design test jigs and fixtures for sensor characterization and automated testing, enhancing precision and efficiency.
  • Engage with external customers throughout design, testing, product implementation, and commissioning phases, providing valuable post-deployment support.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to develop work plans and prepare bill of materials
  • Lead initiatives involving specification drafting, RFQ management, and coordination with the supply chain.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend systems/equipment/technologies
  • Contribute to technology R&D and the cultivation of innovative concepts for future product lines.
  • Other tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the engineering/product development field
  • Proven expertise in working with SolidWorks or comparable CAD software
  • Must have strong analytical skills in general engineering assessment and problem solving
  • Industrial experience in product development and hardware/software system integration
  • Experience with working in small and multidisciplinary teams and startup environments
  • Experience with designing hardware products for heavy industrial / harsh environment applications
  • Can-do attitude, self-driven and proactive, with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills with demonstrated ability to clearly document experimental procedures and results
  • Strong analytical skills, highly attentive to detail
