Please note that this role is in-person, with 5 days per week spent in our office in midtown Toronto, located at Yonge and Summerhill.
Join our mission:
Reporting to into the People Operations lead, you will oversee all the day-to-day operations of the office, plan and manage company events, and be a driving force in employee engagement. We are looking for someone who has a strong desire to grow and an eye for the special details that make a workplace hum. This person will be the welcoming face of Vetster and cultivate a positive, fun, and welcoming workplace for all of our Vetster folks!
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of the Vetster HQ office experience.
- Main point of contact for our landlord and maintenance vendors
- Troubleshooting office equipment and working closely with our IT partners
- Run our weekly Town Hall meetings, monthly socials, and other employee events
- Ensure the office is in tip-top shape, everything is in working order, and cabinets are full of everything we need (from paper towels and soap to snacks and swag)
- Lead Health & Safety committee and manage employee wellbeing initiatives
- Oversight of the compliance training portal
- Coordinate our employee recognition program
- Provide administrative and tactical support to our Senior Leadership team
- Other administrative duties as required
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in office management
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change
- A positive self-starter attitude with a predisposition to take initiative
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent administrative and computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software (Microsoft Office)
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across departments and leadership teams
- Ability to work simultaneously on a variety of complex projects with tight deadlines
